METHODOLOGY
The methodology used for this research includes the following 3 points.
1- Literature review.
To investigate the Chakra topic, I started with the foundational motivations and aspects of it, investigating its origins and subsequent developments.
I delved into digital resources related to the power of vibrations, certain aspects of Eastern culture, and finally, Chakras.
For info related to chakras, I took my cue mainly from one of the most comprehensive resources on chakras: Anodea Judith's chakra book, translated by Enrichetta Pedrazzoli Cavazzoni, “The Chakra Book. The Chakra System and Psychology.”
2- The analysis of my personal artistic journey, reporting the criteria and evaluations that led me to select seven piano pieces for each Chakra, documenting with recording sessions as examples, how I played the chosen pieces before and after increasing my spiritual awareness of the Chakras.
It also reports on the various stages of the pathway, any changes in choices and considerations about them.
3- The comparison in live musical settings (in addition to my own personal path) of my “piano piece - specific Chakra” choices with those of the listeners, confronting their sensibilities with mine and gathering their feedback. I tested my choices with my “Pia (professional integration activity) prototype” and through comparison with my Yoga teacher Tiziana Fiore, and I created an interdisciplinary concert: “The Cakra Experience.”
