Final results and considerations
In conclusion, the data collected show that the conscious association of a chakra and a piece of music (which has, as mentioned, certain characteristics that lend themselves to a possible association) can influence how it is played, suggesting a certain interpretive key or amplifying an already set one. This pathway was significant because it stimulated me to explore the topic further, eventually providing me with new interpretive tools and new artistic insights. Therefore, the possibility of associating the 7 Chakras with other pieces in the future, working with similar methods explored in this Research, cannot be ruled out.
The “Pia prototype” confirmed that it is not possible to approach the chakras with total objectively. There are therefore 2 options. The first is to let it go in the light of an impossible objectivity. The second is to try to share your choices with conviction and passion by creating an engaging narrative rhythm. As I have tested, it’s interesting to note the diversity of people's opinions, but it is equally interesting to propose a certain reading of a topic, aware that my personal reading will not be agreed by everyone, but it is certainly an opportunity for the audience to dig inside themselves to connect with emotions and therefore with soul.
The actual concert was staged at “Teatro Cortesi” in Sirolo, Ancona (Italy) on January 19, 2025. An audience of 140 (sold-out) took part in the event. In addition to performing the pieces chosen on the basis of this research, I was in charge of writing the script and set design, as well as general artistic direction. The texts were written by my yoga teacher Tiziana Fiore, from whom, as mentioned, it all began. The concert played on the synergy between myself and the two voice-actresses, beginning with an evocative introduction and then entering the spiritual and emotional journey of discovering us through the Chakras. As I mentioned in the section regarding the fourth Chakra in the chapter “Reasons of my choices of association...”, I decided not to follow a linear path, that is, from the first to the seventh Chakra or vice versa: I chose to first root the seventh and sixth, move on to first and second, then fifth, third and finally fourth, for the reasons explained in the above section. For each Chakra, one of the two voice-actresses read the related text in synergy with a piano improvisation, and then the chosen piece was performed, and so on for all seven. Before starting, I informed the audience that programs will be distributed after the performance and asked to please applaud only at the end. This was to try to create an attitude of involvement and attention. In the end it successfully turned out to be an opportunity to to become spiritually aware of Chakras through the emotions resulting from the combination of piano music (interpreted and improvised), voice-acting and colors.
Below is the RECAP VIDEO of the event, the poster, theater program and review (translated by me) by writer Nanda Anibaldi.
"To the discovery of our deepest -me- or rather to the recovery of that freedom often conculcated by stereotypes. Platitudes. Commonplaces. Prejudices.
Words and music, the strategy to heal pathologies of the mind and soul (νοῦς - ψυχή).
Michele Guerrieri, with the passion of his very young years, tried and in the time of just one hour succeeded.
An experience not to be taken for granted that requires ardor and daring, two categories proper to chosen spirits.
The time of an hour.
Of a musical performance at the Cortesi Theater in Sirolo on January 19, 2025.
Time to lay the groundwork for deeper reflection.
Of a reflection that demands, more than an external time, an internal time with a dilation of self.
Underscored throughout the event by the narrative voices of Paola Casoli and Marzia Paoletti, interpreters of Tiziana Fiore's texts.
Words and notes embellished by the warmth and color of a skillful play of light, which artist Michele Guerrieri conjugated with a conceptual/visual synesthesia of great emotional impact, through exceptional interpretations on the piano, at one with its physicality, both simultaneously with the word and in the poignant “solos.”
If I were asked to define it in two words, preferably three, I would say: Extraordinary astral conjugation."
