European Researchers’ Week

The Academy of Fine Arts in Rome is taking part in the 2025 edition of European Researchers' Night, hosting three days of events from 24 to 26. The programme will feature workshops, performances, exhibitions, and presentations that explore the multiple nuances and intersections of artistic research with diverse disciplines. Curated within the framework of the Enacting Artistic Research (EAR) project, these initiatives will culminate on Friday 26 September with a programme of public events highlighting the Academy’s commitment to fostering dialogue between creativity, technology, and knowledge.

A Slow Hackathon for Students and alumni from EAR partner institutions come together experimenting with the use of artificial intelligence in artistic practice. Artists Mara Oscar Cassiani and Guido Segni will spark and guide the process.

PhD candidates from EAR’s partner institutions Step into the hidden layers of creativity. Through two powerful tools—the Research Catalogue, the international hub for artistic research, and °'°Kobi, an AI-driven knowledge ecosystem—participants will explore latent space as a realm of unseen possibilities, questioning the delicate balance between individual imagination and collective intelligence.

COST Action Meeting
As part of Research Week, the Academy of Rome welcomes COST Action – Artistic Intelligence: Responsiveness, Accessibility, Responsibility, Equity (ARTinRARE).
This gathering brings together members of Working Groups WG1, WG2, and WG4, with around thirty researchers from fifteen European countries.
The event opens a space to explore the intersections of artistic and collective intelligence and to reflect on the impact of cultural policies, fostering a vibrant dialogue across disciplines and borders.
