25.11. 2025 - 28.11.2025

Development of "odd-instrument" drifting sand tubes and group structured improvisation at SYP with MA Fine Arts and MA Cross-over Creativity.

We improvised with a use of various drawings of visual scores, which we developed through-out the semester.

24.09. 2025

The very first interpretation of the grain of sand in wood. This interpretation should symbolize the way the grain of sand becomes and slowly fragments - never finished - always in flux.

11.11. 2025

Experimenting with chance and language - narrative randomization.

Inspired by the movement of drifting and jumping grains of sand.

13.10. 2025

The second, after Terschelling, iteration of the grain of sand in wood. The inspiration for this grain of sand finds its origin in a specific grain of sand found on the Terschelling beach on West-end. The grain was afterwards explored under microscope, drawn and re-created into an inter-active sound object.

The first "odd-instrument" played with the use of contact microphones, field-recordings of sand at Terschelling and MAX MSP patch.

The first performative exploration of this setting happened in  black-box Pastoe.

12.11. 2025

Experimenting with driftig sand simulator.

Visual scores used during SYP.

03.12. 2025

The "odd-instruments" - sand conversations and drifting sand tubes in their current form.

14.11. 2025

Experimentation with material - creating poured glass mold from clay.

31.10. 2025

The second version of sand conversation "odd-instrument". How sand communicates with various materials? What sound occurs?

05.11. 2025

Experiencing focus development tool - dismantling the heap of sand grain by grain

18.11. 2025 - 21.11. 2025

Experimentation at Grote Zaal with falling sand on various materials. The First idea of "odd-instrument" drifting sand tubes.

05.11. 2025

Experimenting with transuser, frequencies, metal plate and sand.

Creating sand geometries.

18.11. 2025 - 21.11. 2025

Individual movement experimentation at Grote Zaal with "odd-instrument" drifting sand tubes. Exploring various modes of movement - sound making - meaning making relations.
