30´ structured improvisation with Richard Hronský (festival JAMA 79, Banská Štiavnica, SK, 18.10. 2025)
A sonic-poetic piece that unified themes of grains of sand, funerals, and local (sound) ecology of mining and woodcutting. It is Celestina's non-verbal vocal performance inspired by site-specific explorations of drtiftinf sand at Terschelling (NL) and the vocal techniques of artist Meredith Monk, who responds to these themes through her voice. Together, we recontextualized them in the manner of concert arias in the form of electro-acoustic lifts (fujara + computer) from the album Pohreb, which was recently released on mappa editions by Richard Hronský.

Exploring sand grain by grain. The perception of sand as a whole would not be possible without a grain. The pereption of a grain would not be possible without a sand as a whole. Where will these observations take us?
