The Housewife series includes a series of minimal, domestic sound works mainly created within the framework of the home, while (like most other mothers) living as a housewife, in the UK.
The UK is overall defined by private ownership and heavy security. What land remains open to the public is restricted to paying entry fees, proficiantly surveillanced by security cameras. Rules are strict when it comes to working in the public domain, and formal approval must always be obtained in public interactions.
This led to the series of experiments involving conceptual framework and explorations into domestic items at hand such as childrens toys, kitchen utensils and daytime TV.
