JENNY SUNESSON

FAMILIES

They would never grow old is a conceptual text/sound piece from 2004.

Over a period of 45 days, Jenny travelled the same route on the red line of the Stockholm underground once a day with hidden microphones  recording only the sounds that would “stick to the DAT-tape” according to a strict framework.

The incentive of this conceptual and chance operated framework was to explore what sounds and stories that would defy the muffled sounds of the underground and surface, despite no efforts what so ever being made “to catch” them.

This work resulted in a fragmented story set over several decades.
