Andrius Arutiunian is Lithuanian-Armenian composer and sound artist based in The Hague. One of the main focuses of his artistic practice is the digital domain and the influence of contemporary audio-visual culture on the perception of reality. The socio-historical context of technology often provides the basis for his music, with particular focus on communication and military technology.

Andrius Arutiunian obtained his BA and MA degrees at the Royal Conservatory The Hague under Yannis Kyriakides and Peter Adriaansz. He is a guest tutor at the Master Artistic Research department (KABK) where he gives lectures on contemporary music and composition practices. He also works actively as a researcher and lecturer (Sedje Hémon StichtingDag in de Branding festival). In addition to collaborating with various international ensembles (MAZEEnsemble KlangSlagwerk Den HaagSynaesthesis and others), he also performs his own solo electronic and audio-visual sets.
