Luis Guerra Miranda (Santiago of Chile, 1974) is a visual artist and philosopher. Ramón y Cajal Senior Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy - CSIC Spanish Council of Scientific Research. Former Tomás y Valiente Senior Researcher at MIAS Madrid Institute of Advanced Studies and Casa de Velázquez, Madrid. Former Senior Researcher at the Research Institute at the University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland. Former Fellow Artist Researcher at the Art & Theory Program, Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen, Innsbruck, Austria. He is also Fellow Researcher at the Post-foundational Contemporary Thought Research Group, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Barcelona, PID2020-117069GB-100, Ministry of Science and Economy, Gov. of Spain. Former Associate Professor of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts at BAU University Center of Arts and Design Barcelona (2020-2022), GREDITS Design and Social Transformation Research Group Coordinator, and co-editor of the scientific review Immaterial, Design, Art and Society.

He was Fellow Resident Artist at the Saastamoinen Foundation, Helsinki (2021) and Fellow grantee at the Kone Foundation, Helsinki (2020). He has published Wandering Echoes, a handbook of operative losses, 2021, Errant Bodies Press, Berlin and La Inexistencia del Arte, 2017, Brumaria Editores Madrid, after research residency at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid.

His last book Gestural Apparatuses for a Memory to Come was published by the University of the Arts Helsinki Press. Currently his research works on Reparatory Design and Artistic Practices.
