Claudio Ribeiro (São Paulo, 1976), based in the Netherlands since 2000, is a sought-after harpsichordist and conductor in a variety of orchestras and ensembles, and a regular guest at the major concert venues and festivals in Europe, recording for labels as Ramée, Ricercar, Ambronay Éditions, ORF, Brilliant and Passacaille. Next to his activities as a duo with Inês d’Avena, Claudio is the co-founder and artistic director of baroque ensemble New Collegium and member of La Cicala and Radio Antiqua, combining music making with an intense research activity focused on performance practice and the discovery of unknown baroque repertoire. Claudio works as a harpsichord teacher and early music coach at the School for Young Talent of the Royal Conservatoire The Hague since 2006, and receives regular invitations to teach in festivals in Brazil and Europe.
