Hilde Honerud (b. 1977) lives and works in Kongsberg, Norway

I am a visual artist and associate professor of photography at the University of Southeastern Norway. Educated at Napier University in Edinburgh and the National Academy of Arts in Oslo, I work in the tradition of documentary photography, though motifs are far from classical.

My works have been widely exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. Since 2020 I have amongst others held exhibitions at MELK (Oslo), Chart Art Fair (Copenhagen), Bærum Art Center (Oslo), NŌUA (Bodø NO), Nils Was (Stiklestad NO), Vestfold Art Center (NO), Billboard Istanbul, Nordic Light Festival, Kristiansand Art Center, and summer 2023 I am featured at Les Rencontres d´Arles. For more information about grants, exhibitions and collections, see hildehonerud.com. In my academic writing I focus on artistic research, though also publishing within higher education pedagogics (Honerud & Honerud 2023) and philosophy (Honerud & Honerud 2023)
