I am a freelance Swedish-Finnish scenographer and costume designer based in Stockholm (b. 1985). I work with performance art primarily for children and young people, but also for adults, at fringe scenes as well as institutional theaters all over the country. I work in the intersection of scenography and devising, using the process-oriented working method devising to develop performances where the image is a vital part of the storytelling. Artistically, I’m interested in the unexpected and how, as a scenographer, I can create conditions for discovering and being surprised by the material during the making of the performance. The goal is to create audio-visually driven stories that evoke associative and unexpected images and that put the viewer at the center of the experience.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Performing arts specializing in scenography from Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (2015) and will finalize my Master’s degree in Performing arts in 2024 at Stockholm University of the Arts. My master studies have focused on method development in the intersection between scenography and devising using Deleuze and Guattari’s ideas on rhizomatic thinking as starting point. I’m researching how challenging of established traditions within scenography making opens up for unseen, feminist and norm-creative scenic images.
