    This research Catalog explores Romantic Nationalism. We first set the scene with historical events that led, not only to the birth of the romantic period but also the romantic nationalist mindset. Then we move on to describing clothing at the time and how it reflects the nationalist ideology. Then finally we discuss how romantic nationalism has impacted our current mindsets in a broader sense and as creatives.

    This research catalog explores the role of the necktie throughout history and in a contemporary setting. We start with how the necktie became an essential accessory and whether it should still be viewed as such. Then, using history as context, exploring its role in society, the wearer, the psychological effects, and the various ways it is used today.
