Charlie Christian and Lester Young were considered the best players on guitar and saxophone by many of their contemporaries. They also knew each other personally and performed together on numerous occasions. This article focuses in on the way that Charlie Christian was musically influenced Lester Young. Testimonials done by Christian himself are being put to the test by comparing recorded vocabulary and having it judged by a team of experts.
