Artist/academic Vida L. Midgelow is Professor in Dance and Choreographic Practices (Middlesex University, UK). Her research led movement works have been presented internationally. She has published in various journals and her monograph, published in 2007, was entitled Reworking the ballet. Her practice focuses upon somatic approaches to improvisation in movement, sound and video installations. Recent works include: Threshold : Fleshfold, TRACE: playing with/out memory and currently the accumulative work: A Date with (my improvisation) Practice can be viewed at: http://danceimprovisationpractice.blogspot.com.
