Michael Lukaszuk is an artist and researcher with interests in computer music, improvisation and exploring algorithmic media in culture. He holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from Queen's University and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. In 2024/2025 he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in New Media Art at Umeå University, and he currently serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in Music at The University of New Brunswick (Fredericton, Canada).

His music has been repeatedly presented at events such as The International Computer Music Conference and The New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival and has received awards from organizations such as the Canadian Electroacoustic Community (Jeu de Temps Awards) and the SOCAN Foundation (Hugh Le Caine Awards). His research can be found in journals of the Korean Electro-Acoustic Music Society, the Canadian Electroacoustic Community and the Australasian Computer Music Association, along with multiple proceedings of the International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA).
