Heper Sayar was born in Izmir, Turkey in 1998. In 2022, he graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Psychology with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a certificate in Plastic Arts. Sayar, who also worked in the field of human rights during his undergraduate education, continues his academic life at the School of Fine Arts, University of Porto in the Art and Design for Public Spaces Master's Program.
Sayar, who brings his psychology education with him in his work, often includes social sciences, and media theories in his work by combining scientific research methods with artistic practices. Often inspired by visual perception, neuroscience and new technological developments, Sayar deals with human-machine interactions, artificial intelligence, and a non-human-centric approach to creativity.
