I have been a professional artist for over 25 years. My work ranges from sculpture and photography to performance art and installations. In parallel to my artistic career, I obtained my PhD in 2004 in marine geology and geophysics. I am a researcher and lecturer in the Dr. Moses Strauss Department of Marine Geosciences, University of Haifa, Israel. As both artist and scientist, I am often invited to talk about the boundary between the two fields, even though for many years, I kept these two worlds totally separated. This changed in 2014 and I now seek to unravel the connection between the development of scientific thought and artistic expression through projects that combine the two disciplines. They merge, blend together and emerge in the form of installation, sound, video. I aim to visualize the unseen, make audible the unheard and, more importantly, make my audience stop and think.
