Alice Thompson is currently living and studying in The Netherlands. She graduated in June 2012 with First Class Honours from her Bachelor of Music Performance degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and was also awarded the TCM Trust’s Silver Medal Award. At Trinity Alice spent 4 years studying flute principally with Anna Noakes but also with Margaret Campbell and Julian Coward and piccolo with Alan Baker. Now undertaking a Master degree her studies continue to flourish at The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague under the tutelage of Thies Roorda (flute) and Dorine Schade (piccolo). Highlights from last year include performing Daphnis and Chloe as principal flute with the Conservatoire’s Symphony Orchestra, venturing to Singapore to Premier Diana Soh’s chamber opera with Size Zero Opera Company and working as principal flute with the Helicon Kamerorkest for a specially designed concert for adults and children with Autism.
