About this exposition

Documentation of the performance and exhibition-project VERHALTET EUCH RUHIG. A durational format about resistance, art, possibilities of participating and spectating What happens when elements of real protests are transfered into the context of art? When we here meet again choruses from Tahrir Place, calls for a change, the Standing Man from Taksim place? Can art significantly be resistant when it starts to include forms of real protests? Or can the power of riots break with conventions of art? VERHALTET EUCH RUHIG / KEEP QUIET is a durational format on the boarder of visual art and choreography. Visitors can decide themselves when to come and to leave the space. The project subverts classical separations of spectators and performers and questions the possibilities of political change through insurrections as well as through an artictic medium: "The monument has to become revolution and the revolution has to become monument again."
