About this exposition

This research aims to provide new insights into the interpretation of programme music for violoncello solo, compositions that are inspired by specific pieces of text. Instead of focusing only on the relationship between the composer and the text, the present work will set the spotlight in the reception of the audience, as the decisive element in the musician's interpretation of those pieces. Therefore, a series of methods and practical experiments will be conducted during the process.
