About this exposition

In "Tanatoarchitecture: Rehearsing to Mortality," I explore the impact of architectural spaces and their material and spatial organisation on the embodied experience of illness and the process of dying through artistic practice. The driving force behind this research is a personal encounter with the existential anxiety surrounding death and dying, which forms the basis for a multi-layered exploration of how architecture shapes our relationship with mortality. It represents a tender yet determined attempt to transform this anxiety into a poetic visual language that serves as a catalyst for both intimate reflection and broader cultural discourse. The research is conducted in dialogue with various interdisciplinary fields, including sociology, architectural theory, proxemics, and thanatology.
