Héctor García-Jorquera

Héctor García-Jorquera, is an actor, director and dramaturge, poet, performer. He studied theater at the Drama School DRAN, in Chile (1990). In the mid-nineties, with some of his colleagues, he founded the Cultural Center Playa Ancha in Valparaiso, an independent place for the art. A few years later he take a degree in Cultural Management program at the (UC) Catholic University of Santiago in Chile and began his work in an international field. He has worked exclusively in the “public places” since 1997. Performances, happenings, carnivals, poetry.
In Stockholm, Sweden he studied photography, video and worked within his idea/theory on performance art. In the year 2007, create Föreningen Oneironaut a Cultural Organization, to work with artistic and environmental issues between Sweden and South America.
2009 was the year for his main project: to create a platform for experimental performative arts.
