My working hypothesis for the history project (working title) states that "the standard narrative timeline" is a work of fiction which–it being historically inaccurate–requires effort to maintain. "The standard narrative timeline" is what I call that version of dance history that all professionals trained in dance in the West will be somewhat familiar with. This version of dance history says that through selective criticism of existing standards modern dance developed "from" ballet, postmodern dance developed "from" modern dance, etc.

in your screen's top left corner you will find a drop down menu. under contents you will find a selection of entries on offer. the entries are currently organised per working residency. roughtly speaking, each entry was conjured on location, between the arrival date and departure date. this means that the entry itself, in its totality, serves not only as a document of content, but as a document of process. in the way that it was created, the entry testifies to my temporary documentary capacities. it testifies to my temporary reflective and reflexive capacities.
