After several months of production and recording, I drew on Deleuze and Guattari’s concept of the rhizome, particularly their account of how heterogeneous elements can form new assemblages and generate novel relations. This framework enabled me to reconceptualise my sonic materials, treating them not as fixed entities but as components within an evolving network of connections. By allowing sounds to interact, diverge, and reconfigure, I was able to locate new meanings within the material and cultivate a more open, exploratory creative process.
"Mes premiers Picture de Infinite Heights by Oscar Brontë Foster Gründ" a collage book made of three seperate books (The Picture of Dorian Gray, Wuthering Heights, and Infinite Jest) on a French childrens interactive listening book about hiphop, with the intention to produce an meaning seperate from their original and create a new one developed from selected samples. This also explores irregular textual reading and utilise music to accompany narriative to suppliment context, creating an Assembelage of four texts.
As a reiteration of this methodology, you are invited to explore the multi-modal graph with a selection of different samples to the right. They are mapped around the titles "Computational, Generated and Edited," "Field Recording," and "Foley and Object Enquiry".
Engage multiple elements simultaneously to enact a rhizomatic exercise, allowing new relations and configurations to emerge through their interaction
