In the Realm

This artwork displays the spiritual experiences of self inside the realm of spirituality. A reality that “exists independent of the knower” that cannot be explained; however, experienced. In view of this, the happenings inside the domain of spirituality can be understood with a spiritual bend of mind that “creates symbolic representations of the world and through which one comes to know the world” (Efland 2002: 53). The metaphor of awe and dance in this work invites the “imaginative reality” (Efland 2002, p. 143) of the viewer to comprehend the state of spiritual illumination and familiarize with out-of-the-self experience.
