Ryan Ander-Evans (he/they) is an arts researcher and participatory artist. They use sound as metaphor to examine the aesthetic (dis)qualifications of the body and mind. Ryan is a teaching artist with Upstream Arts, where he facilitates arts-based learning in disability settings. He also leads Recreation Arts, a participatory music group with older adults living with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Lastly, they are a research scientist with Wilder Research, where they conduct social impact research about the arts, culture, and disability. Ryan has a master’s degree in applied anthropology and community arts from the University of London – Goldsmiths College.
