Migration of art images to new media and back to the physical media explores the the transformation of image to data. The new context returned to 30 panels suggests what context is in the process of perception.
Installation 13’X 11’
Mixed Media on 30 panels, each panel 20”X 30”
This represents the migration of "Code Web Art" from cyberspace back into the physical expression.
The Big Picture is an expression of my esthetic migration to a synthesis. My attitude toward creativity described as Zen Process takes the art to a new resolution. This particular resolution freezes time as well as parts of separate visions. The start of my path in art was the physical organization of light in the discipline of painting. The Big Picture Installation is 30 panels which are 20"x 30" each hung in a configuration of 6 columns and 5 rows. The approximate size of the complete installation is between 13' and 14' tall and 11' wide. The size and combination of images offers a new canvas able to encompass a greater scope. Some of the source materials are paintings originally created from 1965 through 2007. Between dissection and re-painting, the original context is drastically altered. The images and original intentions continue to succeed in this migration. The Big Picture is in fact a much closer depiction of how I experience the life in art construct. This view is now absorbed into my art and presented as an individual work. This work also depicts periods within my larger body of art. During these periods, fidelity to local discovery permeated my consciousness. My overview of a greater vision was realized in the compression of time. Part of my concept of art is art as intentional artifact of its time.
Synthesized art images in new media are in contrast to "Migrated Art Images" demonstrating image to data. The new context of dynamic panels suggests how new media context interprets the process of perception. The work suggests relationships with sets of data and sampled visual units constructing dynamic time adjusted field-forms.
Repetition, modular representation, synchronicity, and real time physical drag, effect a dialectic of experience. Complexity in itself shapes the context of this new form. The New Media Matrix is the canvas crossing borders of traditional language and image presenting a frontier of discovery. 12 sets demonstrate the evolution of regiments interrupted.

New Media Matrix
Migration of art images to new media explores the the transformation of image to data. The representation of a new context suggests what core image means in the new media. As the migration of media into the digital domain matures, unique expressions of art and technology emerge. Data as sampled elements of art called by clustered code groups express a new form. The originality of the sampled art is mutated by this migration. Repetition, modular representation, synchronicity, and real time physical drag, effect a dialectic of experience. The mind is structured by experiential patterns teaching it new configurations. Complexity in itself shapes the context of this new form. Our experience of grouping units, anticipating structure and conceptualizing a greater scale play into the metaphorical organization of our perception. The New Media Matrix is the canvas crossing borders of traditional language and image presenting a frontier of perception. Two examples demonstrate the cross-pollination of media and art resulting from the New Media Matrix. The painting Institution is sampled and integrated into new media. In the installation "Big Picture" Many paintings are sampled and integrated into new media and re-established in mixed media mosaic installation. As a reference to the multiplicity of experimentation the book Art Migration To New Media is included. The New Media Matrix is a model to reference as we evolve artificial intelligence within our own perception.
