Anahid Kassabian


Anahid Kassabian studies sound and music in contexts where it is not the focus of attention, including particularly in audiovisual contexts. She is the author of Ubiquitous Listening (University of California Press, 2013) and Hearing Film (Routledge, 2001). Her current research focuses on sound and music in everyday digital culture, such as YouTube videos, smartphone app games, and web series.
