Lucy Bleach 

Lucy completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the College of Fine Art, University of N.S.W in 1990. She was awarded a Master of Fine Art from the Tasmanian College of the Arts, University of Tasmania in 2007, where she is a Lecturer in Fine Art.


Lucy maintains a local, national and increasingly international exhibition practice. She has been the recipient of several Australia Council and Arts Tasmania grants for new work and professional development. She has participated in four Ten Days on the Island festivals, and was the 2009 Asialink Visual Arts Resident in Japan, where she participated in the 4th Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial. Her research focuses on humans’ varied relationships to contingent and at times volatile environments, seeking engagement with communities that experience such relationships.
