Nathalie S. Fari is a performance artist, researcher and lecturer dealing with questions of documentation, mediation and translation of site-oriented performance practices. She holds a PhD in Performance Practices from The Artistic Faculty, University of Gothenburg, a Master of Arts in Space Strategies - Exploratory Art in Public Contexts from the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin and a degree in Art Education from the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado University in São Paulo. Additionally, she has completed trainings in acting and experimental theatre at the TUCA theatre school of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and at the Centro de Pesquisa Teatral Institute under the direction of Antunes Filho. A key focus of her artistic research lies is designing collaborative performance laboratories to explore issues around embodiment, site-specificity and audio-visuality. By approaching a specific place as a documentary and creative source for developing a performance material, these laboratories have been generating a variety of outcomes such as articles, video-essays, and films.
