Arnas Anskaitis is an artist, educator and researcher from Vilnius, Lithuania. He is interested in practices of reading and the visual, spatial, and temporal nature of text. In his artistic practice and research, Anskaitis tries to draw attention to the physical and mental experiences of reading and writing ‘in space’, a physical dimension that both mind and body can grasp and perceive. Anskaitis engages with various media, including installation, performance, moving image, and photography. Currently, he is an Associate Professor and Head of the Photography and Media Art undergraduate programme at the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
