Leo Murray is a lecturer in sound at Murdoch University (Australia) and completed a PhD in film sound theory and practice in 2013. He continues to combine teaching and research with location sound and post-production on short dramas and documentaries. Prior to academia Leo worked for nine years as an engineer with BBC Radio in London. Currently he teaches in film sound theory, sound design, sound studies and popular music. His research interests include sound for film and television, audio technology, sound design and forensic audio.
