Sandra Lori Petersen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen, where she leads the research project “What is Neighbour Noise?” and the intervention project “Together Around Neighbour Noise.” The former investigates when the sounds of neighbors are experienced as disturbing noise by the residents of multistory buildings, and the latter develops interventions in collaboration with inhabitants around neighborliness, sound, and noise. Both projects are funded by the Landowners’ Investment Fund (Grundejernes Investeringsfond) and Realdania. Her doctoral research and dissertation focused on soundscapes and social relations in phone-in radio programs in France.
