Prof. Christina Lindgren teaches costume design at Oslo National Academy of the Arts, (2013–) and SKH Stockholm University of the Arts (2022–).
Lindgren led the research project Costume Agency 2018-2023, togehter with Doc. Sodja Zupanc-Lotker, PhD from The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU).
Lindgren studied at KHiO and Universität der Künste Berlin. At KHiO, she has initiated extensive cross-departmental collaborations, like the biannual laboratory Costume for Dance. She works as an independent costume designer/ scenographer for approximately 50 productions of all genres. Lindgren has a special interest in music theatre / new opera and sound generating scenography. As artistic director and CEO of the performing arts company Babyopera she gives workshops and lectures and has created seven performances, touring Europe, the USA, Russia, South Korea and Rwanda. In most of Babyopera’s productions, the starting point has been scenography and costumes, where Lindgren is responsible for costume, as well as for direction.
