This sub-project by Leah, Lena, Lara, Fia, Mia, Sophie and Jelizaveta Vovka always took place in the hallway, their chosen working space, separate from the main laboratory. No matter what form their activity took, the hallway remained a constant: a place where they could move, film, and create on their own terms. Their practice did not follow a single theme or thread; instead, it unfolded through moments of curiosity, movement, and spontaneous collaboration. Sometimes they danced, sometimes recorded videos, sometimes simply explored what could happen in the space between classrooms.

The hallway became both studio and refuge, a self-defined zone for making, being together, and sometimes being apart. It offered a sense of freedom and continuity within the larger collective. At times, they invited others to step into their space and witness their work in progress, transforming the hallway into a momentary exhibition or encounter before returning again to their own making.

Methods used were storytelling, video-making, dancing, embodiment, composing, group drawings, fieldwork notes and photography.

VIDEO PERFORMANCE

The group created a video to tell stories of the hallway. In this story, it is a haunted hallway, full of ghosts and other creatures.

HALLWAY SOUNDS

Sound-design explorations with the Koala app. Recording hallway sounds and editing.

STOP-MOTION DANCE

The group frequently explored embodiment and dance in the hallway. Here, they did created a short stop-motion performance during one rehearsal.
