MULTIPLICITY Photographic Exhibition
Posthumous tribute to Tino Fernández (1962-2020) and living tribute to Fernando Zapata (1956)
On this occasion, Endanzante's invitation has been to see how multiple we are as a society, as a Latin American community, and from there we have built our scenic imaginary as a reflection of our realities. We have thought about this year's photographic exhibition to recognize two choreographers and great human beings who have been milestones in the history of dance in Colombia, two men who have marked several generations and influenced their territories with their creative ecosystems.
The sources of this photographic material are mainly the entities where these choreographers developed their artistic practices: Corporación Artística y Cultural Tacita ‘e Plata (Fernando Zapata) and Compañía L’Explose (Tino Fernández). However, this material is not only part of his personal and historical archive, it has also been the record of photographers who have investigated the possibilities of the body in movement and its record through these images; photographers such as: Oscar Botero, Luisa Cárdenas, Carlos Lema, Claudia Tobón, Zoad Humar, Carlos Duque and the archive of La Exfanfarria Teatro.
This tour is thinking from the empathic parallel that the selected photos detonated and their correspondence with each other. You will be able to observe our artists from the scene, where their aesthetic power becomes multiple and mutable, being soloists and part of a creative cast.
The exhibition is designed so that you can walk through the platform created in the Research Catalog as if you were in a (physical) gallery. It has been thought cyclically and continuously. If you start; to the right, you will find the file related to Tino Fernández and down, you will find the record of Fernando Zapata.
