HearHere soundwalk and concert

October 2018

Casey Moir arranged this event in her neighborhood of Bredäng, where I had lived four years before. It was a sound walk, punctuated with improvised music performances. First we encountered Casey, who worked with voice and objects in a pedestrian tunnel, blending unexpectedly and marvelouslly with a family fair going on nearby. Then we went up a granite hill to listen to Finn Loxbo play extended acoustic guitar, contemplative and still looking out over the hills. Then we went down to the water, below the balconies of Konditori Lyran. There is a huge pair of stones there that lean against one another to form a kind of portal. I had gone there often when I lived in the neighborhood, and so I was delighted Casey had decided to place me there.

So I listened to the birds, the boats, the wind, the water and played with them.
