"snail space"

Visuals

My thought behind visuals.

The image of a snail climbing on mossy rocks made me reflect on my journey as an artist. Sometimes, my career feels as slow as a snail's pace. I have so many stories I want to tell through my art that I often overwhelm myself, making it seem like I'm not moving forward at all. But, like the snail, I move at my own pace and leave a trail behind. I like to think that as an artist, I leave a trail too—a messy, slimy trail called life. My communication through art isn't always perceived as intended. As an artist, I sometimes cling to things that society says I shouldn't, much like the snail clings to its path.

Ideas Artwork

How to I translate the feeling of leaving a trail into an artwork?

I'd like to add a three-dimensional aspect to this artwork, aiming to immerse the viewer in the arrangement of the prints. One part could be positioned on the floor, symbolizing the emergence of the snail from an inexplicable source—perhaps representing my artistic drive. I might create artwork inspired by the trail left by the snail. Additionally, I want to integrate a digital drawing medium into this piece. The section on the wall should guide the viewer's gaze upward, evoking a sense of the snail's dynamic movement. My goal is for viewers to truly feel the energy and motion of the snail as they engage with the piece.

My thought behind visuals.

I'm drawn to the concept of the snail emerging from the aether, a realm beyond our terrestrial sphere—a universe unto itself. The depth of history embedded in this notion resonates with me. However, I'm still undecided on which direction to take with it. Perhaps intertwining it with the theme of origins could yield something intriguing. It's gradually evolving into a sort of self-portrait, a reflection of my own journey and essence.
