The Ivy as pharmakon
Put your head into the ivy and consider
the paradox of medicine and poison.
The ivy cleans the air indoors, especially from benzene,
but is poisonous, dangerous for dogs and can irritate the skin.
Blossoming in Autumn, it bears fruits in Spring,
decorates bare walls but also makes them deteriorate,
covers naked soil in greenery, but strangles trees and can overcome an oak.
