The project «one and one hundred dice rolls a day»

has been ongoing since 1994. Dice are rolled and number combinations are noted every day. 

A unique numerical material is collected and forms

the basis for various forms of transformations.

Numbers, being such an abstract material, can be transformed in many ways. This work is undoubtedly colored by a particular perspective

– it is seen from a certain place.

 

This place is me, the artist.

So, who am I, the artist, in this project?

Who am I who acts, collects, transforms, and visualizes?

Who am I who sees, experiences, reflects, reasons, and further develops this in many ways interconnected project?

I, THE ARTIST

My approach to working with these numbers is like a conglomerate which has built over time from elements in my environment, interests, experiences, and lessons learned. From my growing up, through the path to preparatory art school and during my formal art education and further.

What caught my attention,

                       colored my interests,

                                              came with me along the way?
