dr. Jan Glöckner is an artist, designer, and researcher whose work is dedicated to re-framing biotechnology in choreography, with primary focus on submerged culture in open water bodies. Research involves deep diving into Lithuanian lakes together with fungal partners which are housed in large bioreactors. Works of dr. Jan Glöckner have been exhibited in international venues and festivals, including Ars Electronica and Documenta 15.

Currently dr. Jan Glöckner is affiliated with Vilnius Art Academy.

Every year doctoral candidates of Vilnius Academy of Arts present their practice as research in exhibitions and other professional events. This year due to Covid uncertainties instead of physical exhibition, expositions at Research Catalogue were developed. They present individual artistic research positions by 2nd and 3rd year candidates. We are grateful to Michael Schwab for facilitating workshop and helpful review process.
