FeLT - Futures of Living Technologies

OsloMet

Project leader: Kristin Bergaust

About the project

From a perspective of ecological crisis, we engage in the relations and intersections that occur between human beings, living environments and machines. This entails how we sense life in the environment, in other beings and ourselves in an existence being constantly enhanced by technology. In close proximity to ICT research, we employ artistic means and methods to question this situation. It evokes a sense of the uncanny and a fear of being dominated by the machine, but also reveals possibilities of becoming, creation of new forms and behaviors. Three thematic strands have been developed through the duration of the project:

Making with: multispecies communication and co-creation.

Living technologies: living environments, humans, machines, intelligence, life and emotions.

Sensorium: how we experience, interpret and develop applied aesthetics today

About the presentation

In our presentation, we will present our work modes and methods, networks and collaborators as well as some examples of art works and productions in progress. Finally we will present ideas for concluding presentation formats.
