Pyhä Sillanrakentaja,
pyhä kahden mantereen yhdistäjä.
Sinä, joka kannoit toisten nimeä,
mutta rakensit omin käsin.
Armahda meidät,
jotka yhä kätkemme työsi varjoihin.
Ota meidät helmoihisi
ja suojele meitä pahalta – ja rumuudelta,
siltä mikä särkee, erottaa ja mitätöi.
Pyhä arkkitehti, sinulla on myös valtaa:
päätät, mitä jää pystyyn ja mitä sortuu.
Sinä suunnittelet reitit, kulkuväylät ja rajat –
kuka saa ylittää, kuka jää rannalle.
Opeta meitä näkemään,
että kauneus ei ole neutraalia,
että turva on suunniteltu, ei sattumaa.
Anna meidän rakentaa siltoja,

Holy Bridge-Builder,
holy uniter of two continents.
You, who carried the name of others,
yet built with your own hands.
Have mercy on us,
who still hide in the shadows of your work.
Take us into your embrace
and protect us from evil—and from ugliness,
from that which breaks, divides, and nullifies.
Holy architect, you also hold power:
you decide what stands and what collapses.
You design the routes, the passageways, the boundaries—
who may cross, and who is left ashore.
Teach us to see
that beauty is not neutral,
that safety is designed, not accidental.
Let us build bridges
that can carry all bodies,
even those who do not fit on the plans.
And when the time comes
that our names are forgotten,
may the bridges endure.
For your work continues in those
who make their way to one another.
